This architectural concept of an energy-efficient house was created in 2014 as our vision of a new stone house, primarily for the Mediterranean area of Istria and Dalmatia in Croatia. The idea was to create a new house that would fit into the architectural heritage of the area with its architecture, while adapting to the micro-locations where it would be built. The concept was elaborated in several versions of square footage from 30 m2 to 130 m2, and in the 10 or so years after the conception of the concept, several such houses, or variations, were built. One of the houses is "House SV. Foska", which was awarded an international architectural competition in 2022. According to our vision and concept, the facade, the final cladding of the house is always stone, but since the international company Xella - Ytong showed interest in including our house "Chiara" among its typical house models, we also made an architectural adaptation of it for continental areas with a different facade and roof slope.
